About Us

LesMark Capital was organized in 2008 as a commercial mortgage advisor and placement agent to provide its mortgage banker, developer and borrower clients with a matrix of financing alternatives for public and private commercial properties leased or owned by companies with strong credit ratings.  We specialize in real estate mortgage loans structured around or enhanced by a lease to an investment-grade credit tenant, or a “credit tenant lease” (CTL), as well as certain project finance and revenue bond loans, including student housing.  Our services include the lease/property review as well as pricing, sizing, underwriting, rating agency submission, closing and placement of the loan.  We offer both construction and long-term permanent financing on qualified projects and properties.     


The principals at LesMark have been involved in every aspect of the commercial loan process, including origination, structuring, securitization, loan servicing and trustee administration, having facilitated close to $3 billion in credit tenant and project finance transactions over the last twenty years.  Our commercial mortgage-backed security (CMBS) loan experience extends back to the early 1990’s with the introduction of the first CMBS transactions and included work for larger financial institutions with extensive commercial loan origination platforms and servicing portfolios in excess of $200 billion. 


LesMark’s founder, Mark Hill, has actively participated in industry initiatives for 25 years, having co-authored industry handbooks on the origination, securitization and servicing of commercial loans, as well as dozens of published articles on various related topics.  He has served as chair for many of the industry’s most important leadership and trade groups, including the CMB Society, the Freddie Mac Advisory Counsel, the MBA’s Asset Administration and Education Committees.  Mr. Hill has also served on CMBS World’s editorial advisory board and is a former Federal bank examiner.
